Filthy Charlie

This is Charlie but you probably know that from other posts. He loves to go outside and play. Even though he is not supposed to every time the door opens he is there trying to bolt out the door. The other day we let Charlie out because he was crying at the door. Then 10 minutes later Mom went outside to get him and he bolted in the door... bring a bird with him! He had caught a bird and tried to bring it in the house. He is always so proud of himself and meows until you give him a treat. Once a few years ago Charlie caught a bird and brought it into the house but when he dropped it in front of my mom's feet the bird got up and started flying around the room! Mom opened the door and shooed the bird out but it was so weird. At our old house before Chief and I were born Charlie caught a mouse one night and stood and meowed until my mom got up out of bed and looked at him. She shook my dad awake and he disposed of the dead mouse while my mom took Charlie into the bathroom and gave him a bath. Then the next night Charlie started meowing in the middle of the night and mom got up and he had caught another mouse. Charlie did this for two more nights in a row before the house ran out of mice. He is such a good kitty. He and Piggy were best friends. They would sit next to each other when I got Piggy out of her cage. Sometimes Charlie would walk up to her cage and cry until Piggy came out of her pigloo ( mini igloo that she slept in) and came to the door. Sometimes she would even nibble on his nose and he would run all the way to the other side of the house. I wish Piggy was still here. I miss her a lot.
